This is the opening found at the beginning of each
Transformers: The Headmasters episode. Later episodes
have the Destrons (Decepticons) covered in flashing light.
Technical details:
The source is a videotape from the Japanese Headmasters laserdisk, so its video quality is pretty good. I applied a sharpen filter to it, so it looks great even in full-screen mode if you want. Double-size mode is magnificent! ^_^
Description of the events in the video:
The video begins with individual symbols for the Headmasters logo appearing from behind a silhouetted round object to form the logo. Showing up next are Chromedome, Hardhead and Highbrow, and then Brainstorm demonstrating their "Head On!" ability. The lyrics appear at the bottom of the screen.
Fortress Maximus appears above Earth transforming into his base mode as Hot Rodimus (Hot Rod), Twincast (Blaster in a new body), and the Trainbots come out from his main ramp in their alternate modes. Daniel and Spike in their exosuits move into the foreground bouncing around on the Moon, followed by the Destron Headmasters in their alternate modes and then Sixshot. Against a blue ringed planet and a brown planet background appear the Destrons with Megazarak (Scorponok) and Galvatron, who fires out into space.
The Trainbots combine to form Raiden as a battle rages between the Cybertrons and Destrons. Rodimus Convoy (Rodimus Prime) is hit at one point and carried around by Chromedome, who blasts back Soundblaster (Soundwave in a new body) and fights Skull (Skullcruncher). The incoming Terrorcons are beaten back by Raiden as Rodimus Convoy joins in the fight again, with the Cybertrons turning the tide. The Cybertrons gather around standing in front of their appearing faction symbol as the video ends.

Description of the events in the video:
Against a red, blue-tinted white, and blue background the Cybertron and Destron symbols collide against each other several times before the Cybertron symbol remains in the center. Spike and Daniel appear to the left as rows with the Cybertron Headmasters' vehicle modes streak individually across the screen, blocking them out. Columns then streak in with their robot modes above the rows as a bright flash appears. Individual Cybertron Headmasters show up one by one across the screen from Spike and Daniel, who try to imitate them transforming, with Chromedome going first, followed by Hardhead, Brainstorm, and Highbrow. The Cybertron Headmasters then transform back to their robot modes one by one, and form a pyramid with Spike and Daniel on top in front of their faction symbol in space as the video ends.
