Below are the descriptions for the clips.
"Birth of Double Convoy" (Part 1 of 4)
This contains a small review of the past two episodes and the continuing
struggle to find the Matrix and Vector Sigma.
Technical details:
The source is a videotape from the Japanese Headmasters laserdisk, so its video quality is pretty good. I applied a sharpen filter to it, so it looks great even in full-screen mode if you want. Double-size mode is magnificent! ^_^
Description of the events in the video:
The video begins with a recap of the previous episodes. Galvatron shows up, followed by Fortress Maximus in battlestation mode immobilizing the Destron combiners Devastar (Devastator), Menasor, Bruticus, and Abominus. The scene pans over the other Cybertron Headmasters and Hot Rodimus (Hot Rod) before showing the Matrix. Scenes of Hot Rodimus and Kup, Fortress, and Hot Rodimus again appear before Convoy (Optimus Prime) appears. He was blasted trying to find Vector Sigma by several defense systems, with the ghost of Alpha Trion making an appearance, as the recap ends. Hot Rodimus becomes Rodimus Convoy again amidst a flash of bluish white light as the title appears.
Hot Rodimus and the Cybertron Headmasters land on Earth, searching for the missing Matrix and transforming before the faction symbol changes. The Destron Headmasters follow Galvatron into their base on Earth, where Cyclonus cowers before his leader along the way in. There they find Sixshot, and listen to Soundwave's last report before his destruction from Ratbat about Vector Sigma.
After the faction symbol change, Metroplex is in city mode as Ultra Magnus, with Prowl, Jazz, and Inferno among those with him, watches the Protectobots and Technobots land before him. After given their orders, Scattershot shouts "Transform!" and leads his team out. Hot Spot does the same with his team. Ultra Magnus then gives a command to Prowl, Jazz, Inferno, and Tracks, who all transform and roll out. Flying in, the Protectobots fire on the Combaticons, who merge to form Bruticus and fire back. The Protectobots then combine into Defensor, and exchange fire with Bruticus, knocking him off the cliff side and then creating an avalanche over him, knocking him out.
Meanwhile, looking out through his BASIC-programming view window, ;) Hot Rodimus and the four Cybertron Headmasters with him continue searching for the Matrix. Their musings end with a commercial break that features Sixshot firing after being shot out of Galvatron's hand as a voiceover calls out "Head on!"
"Birth of Double Convoy" (Part 2 of 4)
Convoy (Optimus Prime) continues his quest to find Vector Sigma as
Hot Rodimus and his team finally find the Matrix and bring it to planet
Cybertron.

Description of the events in the video:
After a commercial break with Brainstorm is a view of Arcee, Blurr, Cha (Kup), and Wheelie talking in Autobot City on Earth. Fortress walks in and decides that he should go to planet Cybertron as the scene changes.
Accompanied by Alpha Trion's ghost, Convoy (Optimus Prime) gains entry into a room, but finds the same energy-sucking slugs last seen in "The Return of Optimus Prime" at the end of last season. He tries to shake them off and then leaves the room as the scene changes again.
In their vehicle modes, the Cybertron Headmasters with Hot Rodimus (Hot Rod) move along, transforming when they reach another place. Here their chest plates swing down to reveal their specs when they shout "Head on!" to gain their heads. The Terrorcons get in their way, leading to a fight. Told by Hardhead to go on, Hot Rodimus goes inside the outpost as the Terrorcons merge to form Abominus. The gestalt appears resistant to the Headmasters' shots and is about to fire back when the Technobots fly in firing and combine to form Computicon (Computron). The two giants battle it out, with Abominus shoved into the ground by the Headmasters.
Continuing his search, Hot Rodimus detects something underneath the floor and punches through it, revealing another level below. Jumping down and checking, he finds the Matrix sheltered behind a transparent cover inside a metallic structure. After the cover slides up, he reaches in and takes it, which glows even brighter in his hands before it returns to its usual glowing brightness.
As he runs outside with it in his hands, Abominus is shoved into the desert ground. As Computicon kicks the prone Abominus and Hot Rodimus runs past, Galvatron and the three Destron Headmasters block his path and fight him. He throws the leaping Skull (Skullcruncher) at the other two and tries to run off, but Skull and Weirdwolf catches up with him. Dropping the Matrix, he is dragged back by the two as Wipe (Mindwipe) lands in front of him and starts using his hypnotism on him.
While Hot Rodimus tries to resist Wipe's hypnosis, Galvatron walks over to the Matrix and is about to pick it up when Chromedome knocks him away and tries to get it himself. When Galvatron tries to get it, he is picked up by Computicon. Galvatron fires on him to get free, and is joined by Skull and Weirdwolf in firing on the giant. Hardhead slams himself into Wipe to stop him, and swings him around by his bat tail away into the desert sands. As Highbrow helps Hot Rodimus up, Computicon tells him to go on. He shields himself from shots from Galvatron, Skull, and Weirdwolf as the other Cybertrons escape.
After a faction scene change Hot Rodimus and the Cybertron Headmasters approach a space bridge as the Trainbots arrive and transform into their vehicle modes. As Hot Rodimus' team enters the train, Galvatron and his troops arrive firing. Despite this, the bullet train pulls away and heads off into the space bridge for planet Cybertron as a commercial break with Chromedome appears.
"Birth of Double Convoy" (Part 3 of 4)
Convoy finally finds Vector Sigma, but the Destrons have already reached it
first.

Description of the events in the video:
After a commercial break with Hardhead, planet Cybertron comes into view as the scene shifts to inside Iacon, where Kup, Arcee, and Blurr are looking at Vector Sigma's statistics. As Blurr talks, he imagines the planet Cybertron blowing up if nothing is done to stabilize the supercomputer.
Inside an arcade on Cybertron with several female robots, Wheelie and Daniel are playing a game. As a symptom of Vector Sigma's problem, the shaking planet knocks them down, with another shake knocking Wheelie down again before a faction scene change.
Fortress is running down a corridor, looking for Convoy (Optimus Prime) and Vector Sigma on planet Cybertron. Accompanied by the ghost of Alpha Trion, Convoy fights off several subterranean creatures that look like a giant Cybertronian version of sewer rats, and turns back. Running down some stairs, they find another corridor. Convoy forces open the doors at the end, and sees Vector Sigma's chamber, with wires leading out from it to the rest of the planet. Convoy and Alpha Trion walk over a bridge toward the chamber's door, which Convoy slides open to reveal a bright light inside. It is coming from Vector Sigma itself, a brightly glowing crystal ball upon a platform.
As Convoy approaches, however, he notices Cyclonus and Scourge at the edge of the platform. They ganged up on him as Fortress, still outside somewhere, discovers the location and goes down on an elevator platform to reach it.
"Birth of Double Convoy" (Part 4 of 4)
This contains the conclusion of the episode, including the final death of Convoy
(Optimus Prime) in the animated Japanese Transformers series.

Description of the events in the video:
After a faction scene change to Cybertron's surface, where the Trainbots have arrived, Hot Rodimus and the four Cybertron Headmasters with him leave the bullet train as Cyclonus and Scourge continue to beat up Convoy (Optimus Prime). Just as the ghost of Alpha Trion is about to spin into an energy form, Fortress shows up and tosses away Cyclonus from Convoy, who then throws Scourge off. Hot Rodimus and his team then show up with the Matrix.
Just as the Cybertron Headmasters are about to fight Cyclonus and Scourge, Galvatron and the three Destron Headmasters with him swoop in, sending the Cybertrons running for cover. Alerting Hot Rodimus, who runs into the clearing and holds up the brightly glowing Matrix, Alpha Trion finally spins into an energy form and enters the Matrix. After opening it, Hot Rodimus changes into Rodimus Convoy (Rodimus Prime), with his name appearing at the bottom.
Turning the tide, the two Convoys attack the surprised Destrons, with Galvatron ending up embedded in a wall after a toss by Fortress. Rodimus channels some of the energy into Convoy to restore him to normal strength, but Vector Sigma is still in danger.
Convoy leaps up onto Vector Sigma's platform, preparing to sacrifice his own life force to stabilize it. Galvatron finally frees himself and tries to stop Convoy as Rodimus gives him a warning. Resisting a choke hold, Convoy gets up, picks up Galvatron, and throws him onto Vector Sigma. Convoy then walks up and touches the supercomputer as it gives out one burst of energy, which leaves both him and Galvatron on the platform.
As the Destron escapes, Rodimus comes up with all the Cybertron Headmasters and rushes up to Convoy. The Cybertron leader passes away while being held in Rodimus' arms, turning grey as Rodimus and the surrounding Headmasters watch. The scene changes to a view on Earth, where Rodimus and the four Headmasters remember Convoy's sacrifice, switching to a view of a Destron outpost where Galvatron is exhorting his troops, before returning to Rodimus and his team. Remembering Convoy one last time, Rodimus transforms into his new vehicle form, followed by the rest as the episode ends.
Next are the title of the next episode, "Operation: Cassette", and its preview. Soundwave's head, last seen carried back to base by Laserbeak, is lowered onto his brand-new body as his cassettes look on, and is given life once more as Soundblaster. A horseshoe crab-looking thing attacks Metroplex on Earth. On planet Cybertron the four Cybertron Headmasters transform into their vehicle modes, with the same crab-thing appearing there, chasing the three Destron Headmasters and then exchanging fire with the Throttlebots.
