Below are the descriptions for the clips.
"Farewell, God Ginrai" (Part 1 of 5)
This part contains a little flashback from the previous episode.
The Destrons attack a solar energy plant, and the Cybertrons
rush off to stop them in spite of injuries from previous battles.
Technical details:
The source is a second-generation videotape, though of a much better quality than the Masterforce clips. However, it's a bit worse than my previous Victory episode clips. The full-screen view looks good at 1280X1024 resolution on my monitor, helped by the sharpen filter I applied to the video. I recommend watching it at double the original size.
Description of the events in the video:
After a commercial break with Star Saber begins the flashback leading into this episode. After Star Saber has been pummeled down by rocks, Deszaras unleashes his Gun's concentrated blast at him. God Ginrai leaped in to block it and then tried to use his sword to pin the Destron, who blocks his momentum with his right leg and then bashes him on the back. Deszaras randomly fires some small blasts, knocking out Holi and Jan's lookout ledge and hitting God Ginrai ("Jan! Holi!"). After Star Saber's sword has sliced apart Deszaras' Gun, the Destrons retreat through a collapsing passage. As Star Saber holds God Ginrai, who said something about his Godmaster tech, Jan's voiceover calls out, "Ginrai-[sou]shireikan! (Ginrai-leader, or Ginrai-Prime if you prefer)" The title scene then appears.
As a bright light fades away Deszaras laughs really maniacally, joined in by his six-member Breastforce team. Killbison, Leozack, and Jargua are walking around a solar energy plant firing their guns into the air while human soldiers run past burning husks of their vehicles. Killbison and Guyhawk are seen behind some other soldiers. An battalion of tanks arrive on the scene, but Killbison and Leozack felt they weren't a threat as they and the rest of the Breastforce begin firing on them. As the narrator describes the present conditions of Star Saber and his Cybertrons, Leozack giddily hops around in place as he blasts some tanks to slag, the Breastforce blow apart a cliff holding several troops and tanks. Jargua, Killbison, and Hellbat run in with guns blazing, with Leozack and Drillhorn using their pikes, to lay waste to the new intruders. Over this carnage looms Deszaras atop the Destron ship Thunder Arrow (Skystalker).
At the Cybertron base, where a monitor is broadcasting the havoc, Jan atop his hover disk is bemoaning the current situation. Star Saber's right leg can be seen in its metallic (or plastic?) cast from the damage wrought by Deszaras' spiked ball in the previous episode. "Soushireikan!" calls out Holi (Stakeout of the Micromaster Rescue Patrol), telling Star Saber that Dashtacker of the Landcross-combiner team Multiforce is calling in from an air base. Getting permission from Star Saber, Holi acknowledges it and opens the channel. Dashtacker reports that they're in a fix, just before Goryu of the Destron Dinoforce blasts Machtackle down onto Dashtacker.
As the screen blacks out Wingwaver is concerned over his two Multiforce partners ("Dashtacker!") while Holi feels frustrated. Hearing something behind him, Braver turns around and calls out "Soushireikan!" The sound was of a leg cast being taken off and thrown aside by Star Saber, who also took off the cast over his left arm (where Deszaras had sheared off the arm tower). Calling out "Wingwaver!", he told him and Holi to go to the air base in Galaxy Shuttle, and called on Laster and Braver to come with him. Braver tried to dissuade him, as does Wingwaver and then Laster because of his injuries. Star Saber stubbornly ignores them and tries to walk, but alarms them when he collapses on one knee.
The view then shifts outside above water to the cliff with the base (Countdown) on it. Unperturbed, Star Saber shouts, "Transform!", turning into his superjet form. "Soushireikan!" calls out Laster and Braver, who run up and hold onto the jet's grips as he sinks down over the waters and blasts off ("Set, take off!") toward the solar energy plant.
Outside back at the base, Jan hopes they'll be all right. Wingwaver then tells Holi they should take off in Galaxy Shuttle, to which Holi says "Hai (Yes)!" "Ma-te (Wait)!" calls out Blacker, who walks up still in his leg and arm casts from his injuries in "Ambush in the Desert" two episodes ago. After a talk with Wingwaver and Holi, Blacker opens his leg cast and removes his arm cast, flexing his fingers, and then leads them into Galaxy Shuttle, blasting off toward battle at the air base.
"Farewell, God Ginrai" (Part 2 of 5)
While the other Cybertrons try to stop the Destrons, Perceptor, Wheeljack,
and Minerva arrive to help God Ginrai, who reminisces about the time when
he turned over leadership to Star Saber. Unfortunately, his diagnosis
isn't good at all.

Description of the events in the video:
As the other Cybertrons blast off toward battle against the Destrons, new arrivals Perceptor, Minerva, and Wheeljack inside the Cybertron base are working to save God Ginrai, who is enclosed in a biobed. Perceptor has the schematics on his screen, while Minerva shakes her head and weeps into her hands, and Wheeljack is apparently thinking. (Blooper note: Wheeljack's shoulder weapon is colored red here, but correctly colored white later.)
Turning his head from them, God Ginrai looks up to the lights overhead, and into his memories. In them a Star Saber with a younger voice appears, being named the new "Soushireikan" by God Ginrai, whose hands rested on Star Saber's chest. Thanking him ("Arigatou"), Star Saber talked some more and then turned around to walk away. God Ginrai (unseen) then called out "Star Saber!", before correcting himself and saying "Soushireikan." As the memory fades God Ginrai repeats that last word before the scene switch.
At the air base Kakuryu of the Destron Dinoforce is carrying crates of energon while giggling and humming to himself. Suddenly he notices the arrival of Galaxy Shuttle and his Cybertron passengers, and throws up his crates, which crash onto the ground. Kakuryu leaps up in pain when one of the crates has landed on his left foot. ^_^ Heading to the other Dinoforce members who are loading energon crates, he informs them. Expressing surprise, Dinoforce leader Goryu and the others are blown back when Galaxy Shuttle's approaching wind gust knocks down the crates. The Dinoforce then attack, some using swords to shoot energy blasts at the shuttle. Kakuryu accidentally brought down a radar dish onto some energon crates, nearly missing Goryu, who bashes in the bumbling Kakuryu's head angrily. ^_^
Galaxy Shuttle drops off the Cybertrons through a door under the nosecone, with Wingwaver and three Micromaster Rescue Patrol members Fire (Red Hot), Pibo (Fixit), and Holi transforming into vehicles before they land ("Transform!"). Blacker transforms in mid-air, too, but reverts to robot mode and crashes, tumbling across the platform. Pibo drives up to check on him, but Blacker tells him to go on. The Dinoforce and the Cybertrons exchange fire before the symbol-switch.
Over at the plant, lots of crates of energon are being loaded into Thunder Arrow on a conveyor belt by the Breastforce. Supervising this are Deszaras and Leozack, who talk about Star Saber and God Ginrai. Speaking of whom, Leozack notices Star Saber arriving on the scene, advises Deszaras to stay behind, and orders Killbison and Drillhorn to join him.
Dropping off Laster and Braver, who run toward Thunder Arrow, Star Saber shows off his newly-redone transformation sequence ("Transform!"). The jet detaches from its booster. Inside the cockpit is a robot pilot, who glows blue before winking out and fitting into the transformed jet to fill its head ("Brain set!"). The jet robot then fits into the transformed booster, followed by the battle helmet swing up and then down over that head ("Battle up!"). Star Saber lands on the ground on his two feet, painfully. "Soushireikan!" calls out Laster, who joins Braver in blocking blasts from Leozack ("Shi-ne (Die)!") and the others meant for Star Saber.
The Cybertron leader tries to stand up but collapses from the pain. Watching on a monitor from the base, Jan shouts "Soushireikan!" and moans while Boater (Seawatch of the Micromaster Rescue Patrol) tries to console him.
In another room Perceptor was about to give the bad news. "God Ginrai..." he began. It's as if Ginrai is saying "Come on," tell me how bad it is, with Perceptor confirming it. There is a brief switch to a scene of Minerva and Wheeljack apparently talking before Perceptor explains what they've found, bringing up schematics of God Ginrai pinpointing the damages. As they ponder what to do, the video clip ends with a commercial break with Deszaras.
"Farewell, God Ginrai" (Part 3 of 5)
Wheeljack comes up with a wild scheme for saving/preserving God Ginrai.
Meanwhile, the Cybertrons' situation at the battle worsens considerably.

Description of the events in the video:
After a commercial break with the Dinoforce, Perceptor is seen typing and then printing out something which Minerva and Wheeljack lean in to see. "Sensei (professor/teacher/elder)," begins God Ginrai, wondering what they're doing now. Perceptor is soon interrupted by Wheeljack, who walks up to Ginrai and begins talking, his ears flashing in synch, apparently describing his scheme to save Ginrai's life. Perceptor obviously doesn't endorse it, rushing up to Wheeljack and putting himself in between him and Ginrai to say so. However, his eyes glowing briefly, Ginrai starts thinking about it.
Back at the solar energy plant the battle continues with both sides exchanging shots, using the solar energy collectors as shields. (The TV station's announcement also plays across the bottom during this part.) Laster is blown back through some collectors, presumably by Drillhorn. Star Saber retaliates with his sword by slicing down through the collectors into Drillhorn's left arm, leaving it sparking electricity. However, Star Saber collapses again from the strain.
A familiar laughter turns his head looking to Deszaras, who exchanged words with him before saying "Shi-ne (Die)!" Hellbat and Guyhawk leap up, "Transform!", and strafe the area with their shots. Jargua himself is driving all around shooting his red missiles. Star Saber jumps out of the way of the missiles, but is pummeled when he lands by the shooting flyers. He blocks some blasts with his sword, and then stands up to slice into Jargua as he drives by. Wounded, Jargua rolls into some collectors and overturns.
Meanwhile Deszaras has generated his Gun, plugged its wires into his body for more powerful blasts, and fired a large shot. Star Saber blocks it, only to be thrown back against some collectors. Braver drives up and transforms to join him, firing a shot that lands on Deszaras' shield before the symbol-switch.
Back at the Cybertron base a very frustrated Perceptor slams his fists on the computer console before Wheeljack approaches. Ginrai himself is straining in his enclosure. Suddenly Jan flies in on his hover disk past Minerva, shouting "Sensei!" Jan reports that things are going really badly for the Cybertrons, bringing up visuals from the battle on the room's main screen to show them. On it Braver is firing back and defending Star Saber, who is in no condition to fight. "Jan!" shouts Ginrai. The two look at each other for a moment before Ginrai's eyes flash again, apparently a sign that he is willing to go along with Wheeljack's plan.
Back at the battle Braver is bringing Star Saber along, firing with Laster against the jets Guyhawk and Hellbat, Killbison the tank, and Jargua the dune buggy, who are too much for them. Jan calls in over Star Saber's commlink, telling him about Ginrai. With a little convincing from Braver and Laster, Star Saber transforms and flies back to base as the clip ends with a scene-switch sequence.
"Farewell, God Ginrai" (Part 4 of 5)
At first angry at God Ginrai's plan, Star Saber later agrees to it
after some discussion and the unveiling of God Ginrai's schematics
for his new form. At the solar energy plant the Destrons have
escaped with the collected energon in Thunder Arrow and left the
Cybertrons there exhausted or really, really frustrated.

Description of the events in the video:
After a view of the waters splashing against the cliff atop which the Cybertron base sits, the scene shifts to the inside. Star Saber is shocked by Ginrai's request. "Nani (What)?!" A new body? Ginrai apparently wants a new body, one that can "power-up" Star Saber. Looking at Perceptor, Wheeljack, and Minerva, Star Saber grows angry at them, apparently thinking it was their idea. Ginrai tries to calm him down. After some talking, he then tells Perceptor ("Sensei") to look at his now-revealed schematics for the body. Jan is horrified by it, a Transformer with a winged-lion, jet, and robot mode. Star Saber still thinks this is all a crazy idea, and so does Jan. I think Ginrai tells them that his beast form is what they will need to turn the tide against the Destrons, who also have beast forms.
After a scene-switch Wingwaver is shouting "Ma-te (Wait)!" as he and Holi pursue the Destrons, leaping down from a building and firing. While Goryu fires back as the vanguard, he orders his Dinoforce to go ahead and carry all the energon away. "Ma-te!" cries Wingwaver, but it is useless. Concerned when Wingwaver collapses from exhaustion, Holi looks around to find Machtackle, Dashtacker, and Blacker in the same condition ("Wingwaver! Minna (Everyone)!". Blacker hates this.
After a symbol-switch the Destron ship Thunder Arrow takes off into the sky against the bright sun to the sound of Deszaras' victorious laughter and voice. Down on the ground Laster lies exhausted while Braver pounds the dirt with his right fist and cries out in frustration before the scene-switch.
"Farewell, God Ginrai" (Part 5 of 5)
God Ginrai as the Cybertrons know him is no more...

Description of the events in the video:
Back at the base Ginrai's biobed is being lowered into the floor as Star Saber and Jan watch. Perceptor, Wheeljack, and Minerva are at the computer consoles, apparently preparing to begin the process of removing Ginrai's consciousness before they could remake his body into a new form. Wheeljack then says, "Soushireikan", they are ready to begin. Star Saber stands up from leaning over Ginrai, and a transparent surface materializes where the floor would have been, over the biobed. Walking on the surface to over Ginrai's head, Jan bangs on the surface and begins crying his name, but the other side is apparently soundproof. The returning Cybertrons suddenly arrive at the entrance to the room to see Jan weeping while their leader notices them. As Blacker wonders, Minerva picks up Jan.
Perceptor then starts the operation, with bright yellow light shining up from the biobed. He then said something that surprises Jan and the new arrivals. Thin purple streaks of electricity snake out from the biobed as Perceptor gives the orders to his assistants. A brighter white light suddenly washes over them all from the source. Jan then begins crying anew, apparently saying that the old Ginrai is now gone. As Perceptor, Wheeljack (Blooper note: He has the red shoulder weapon again), and Minerva leaned down toward the biobed area, the others gather closer. Bent down on his knees on the transparent surface, a tear falls from Jan as he hollers "Ginrai-shireikan!!" and wails. Star Saber stands stricken as the episode fades into a commercial break with Jan and Holi.
Next is the preview for the next episode. Hellbat in jet mode skims over a water surface in a fight with Wing. A never-before-seen robot is raised upwards amidst thin purple streaks of electricity. It is then seen walking around as a winged lion with a brief flash of its eyes, bursting through a wall, and tackling the Dinoforce combiner robot Dinoking. The Breastforce are blown back by an explosion. An energy container bursts into flames when it crash-lands next to the Multiforce combiner robot Landcross, as does another one being held by an aerial Dinoking. The title, "Fight!! Victory Leo", then shows up superimposed over the new figure, Victory Leo himself, seen in winged-lion and jet modes.
