Prime Saber's Victory Video Page (Episodes 9 through 16)

NOTE: NEW CODEC!!

All episode clips from this page require a DivX codec. Without it, you wouldn't be able to see the video.

The codec allows videos to have a greater frame rate (10 frames per second instead of my usual 7 as before) encoded in smaller or equivalent file sizes at up to half the usual encoding time.

The version of the codec for Macintosh computers can be downloaded from this page. For all supported platforms, check this page. Linux and BeOS are included.

To install the 570KB codec for computers running Windows 95 or above:

Download and save it from this link to your computer.
Run it by double-clicking on the file. This will set up the DivX program group and files.
Double-click on the "Run Me First!!" item in the program group to add the codec files to the Windows registry.

Afterwards you should be able to play back the video files without a problem.

Some general technical details:

Size/Resolution: 160X120 pixels
Encoding (video): DivX MPEG-4 at 10 frames/second
Encoding (audio): MPEG Layer-3 at 18 Kbit/second and 8,000 Hz stereo
Data rate: At least 30 KB/second

The source is a second-generation videotape, though of a much better quality than the Masterforce clips. The full-screen view looks fair at 1280X1024 resolution on my monitor, helped by the sharpen filter I applied to the video.
